Arizona Slot Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Elopement

Bailey and Andrew travelled all the way from Texas to elope among the epic slot canyons and views at Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona! Bailey and Andrew were initially drawn to the area because Bailey loves riding horses and when her research had her stumbling upon the incredible views of Horseshoe Bend in she knew it was meant to be!

I loved being able to walk with them throughout their entire planning process. COVID made planning a slot canyon adventure a bit tricky, but through steady research I was able to suggest an awesome hike-in canyon that was just what they were looking for! We had the canyons virtually to ourselves and even got to say hi to a rattlesnake along the way!

Andrew and Bailey’s day also happened to be the WINDIEST day I have ever experienced while photographing! With gusts of 50mph they were troopers and didn’t let it stand in their way as they said their I Do’s to each other. At one point, while up at the overlook, the wind was blowing so hard that Bailey’s veil flew off her head and down into the canyon only to be shot right back up and caught by Andrew! None of us could stop laughing at how awesome it was! There really is something about battling the elements on your wedding day, it always makes for a fun adventure and an even better story!
