Small Arizona Wedding at Lost Dutchman State Park | Cassie and Sam

Cassie and Sam spent their day in the most intentional way, celebrating with their closest friends and family.

The day began at a private residence just a short drive from Lost Dutchman State Park in Mesa, Arizona. Cassie and Sam planned an intimate first-look as well as a private vow reading prior to their ceremony. It’s truly one of my favorite things when couples add meaningful moments such as a private vow reading to their day. Time seems to slow down and they can take in the raw emotions of the day. Cassie had her vows engraved on a wallet sized stainless steel plaque and gifted it to Sam just as she read him her sweet, intentional words. It was so insanely thoughtful!

Cassie also planned a sweet first-look with her Father. And again, it was so beautiful! I will never take being able to witness these pure moments for granted. To me it is a privilege to capture and document these tender moments and my heart swells each time. It’s truly incredible.

Upon arriving at Lost Dutchman State Park, the wind began to pick up and anticipation filled the air as Cassie and Sam’s closest friends and family marched down the short desert trail with Sam leading the way. He lead us to the exact spot where he and Cassie had chosen to say their “I do’s.” There was no music, but rather the gentle sound of the wind whirling through the saguaros as Cassie was lead down the dirt aisle clutching her Father’s arm. Sam’s eyes never left her. It was simple and magical.

Their ceremony was officiated by a close friend and just after Cassie and Sam embraced in their first-kiss, Cassie’s hand shot into the air in a victory motion. It was the most genuine reaction to such an exciting event and I found myself wanting to do exactly the same thing! YASSS GIRL!

The icing on the cake to this perfect day was the group champagne POP! following the ceremony. Every guest, including BA Grandma was armed with their freshly shaken bottle! After a quick countdown, champagne was raining down everywhere! Cassie and Sam kissed their way through the entire down pour! It was so much freaking fun!

Cassie and Sam spent the remainder of the evening wrapped up in each other’s arms as I captured their dreamy, desert love beneath the Superstition Mountains.
